The Inventory Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity across all warehouse operations. This position is responsible for conducting cycle counts, performing audits, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring all inventory data aligns with physical stock. The Inventory Auditor partners closely with warehouse, receiving, and purchasing teams to maintain accurate records and support efficient product flow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a “team first” environment. Responsibilities and Duties: Inventory Accuracy Verify order count against system records and investigate discrepancies Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance inventory accuracy Audit Accuracy Audit of all orders using scanner processor paperwork as needed Analyze root causes of mispick variances and report findings Ensure all orders shipped are 100% correct Compliance Maintain organized bin locations and accurate product labeling Ensure compliance with inventory & picking procedures and internal controls Monitor inventory movements and confirm proper system transactions Assist with inventory transfers and customer orders between branches and departments Team Collaboration Work closely with warehouse staff, receiving, and purchasing teams Communicate discrepancies, trends, and audit findings in a timely manner Partner with team members to resolve issues and improve processes Support training efforts related to inventory and picking best practices General Warehouse Support Assist with physical inventory and year-end count preparation Maintain clean, organized inventory zones Follow all safety protocols and operate equipment responsibly Participate in ongoing training to improve product and system knowledge What We Offer: Monday–Friday schedule (no nights or weekends) Matching 401(k) and profit-sharing program Comprehensive benefits package with supplemental options Paid holidays, PTO, and sick leave Christmas bonus, team-building events, and company picnic Employee discount program Career advancement and ongoing training opportunities Ready to be part of a team that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement? Requirements Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent 1+ year of experience in inventory control, auditing, or warehouse operations Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly Basic computer proficiency (inventory systems, scanning tools) Preferred: Experience with cycle counting, auditing, or stock reconciliation Familiarity with ERP systems or inventory control software Knowledge of plumbing, irrigation, or construction products Forklift or pallet jack experience (a plus) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
