This is an entry level warehouse position trained to troubleshoot and repair office copiers and printers at the Marlboro warehouse or onsite at a customer location. Responsibilities include: removing parts and accessories off machines to refurb or replace them and thoroughly clean the inside and outside of the machines. The associate will refurbish machines, parts, and accessories for customer installations and for technicians that need to replace equipment at a customer location when needed. The associate will program and test the equipment to ensure the machine is working properly. Once fully trained in the Jr. Service Technician role, the associate will be required to travel to customer sites and troubleshoot and repair machines while providing great customer service. Your Impact at BDS Essential Functions/Tasks/Responsibilities: · Machine refurbishment · Shipping/receiving · Assist in assuring a safe work environment · Operate pallet jacks/ability to obtain forklift certification · Adhere to warehouse standard operating procedures · New Equipment Builds · Warehouse cleanliness and upkeep · Cycle Counts when necessary · Computer skills and able to understand and follow machine manuals · Manage accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. · Run machines to test parts functionality. · Assemble machines as per specifications with hand and power tools and measuring devices. · Troubleshoot equipment and identify malfunctions and cause. · Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of office equipment. · Advise customers on equipment operation and maintenance. · Extend outstanding support by meeting customers’ needs on time. · Investigate and resolve advanced, high-level maintenance and repair issues at the Marlboro warehouse and offsite at client locations. · Pays attention to detail, is dependable, productive, works well in a team setting · Establish relationships with clients. · Maintain professional appearance, and personal conduct always · Customer interaction and always maintaining professionalism · Mechanical aptitude · Ability to properly use MobileTech app · Great communication skills with team members and customers Physical demands: · Must be able to lift 70 lbs. · Must be able to pull, lift, reach, and transport equipment parts and boxes Position type and expected hours of work: Full Time, Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm Travel: Travel while working within the warehouse is required if emergency parts/toner deliveries are needed for down machines at customer sites. Once fully trained as Jr. Service Technician, daily travel is required to service customers’ machines onsite as needed within an assigned, dedicated territory within New England. Responsibilities
