Teamwork- Proactive & effective communication, respect, humility, curious, openminded, diversity Basic Functions and Scope of Job The Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse or production facility. This role supports efficient operations while maintaining safety, accuracy, and cleanliness standards. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.) safely and efficiently Prepare and stage loading pallets and equipment Load, unload, move, stack, and organize materials and products Transport goods to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks Inspect forklift equipment daily and report mechanical issues or safety concerns Accurately follow inventory control procedures, including scanning and paperwork Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow all safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and company policies Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and issues Support general warehouse duties during downtime Requirements Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices Ability to read work orders, labels, and basic documentation Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and pull materials (often up to 50 lbs) Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and climbing in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in varying temperatures (depending on facility) Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience with inventory systems or warehouse management software (WMS) Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments Knowledge of pallet racking systems and load limits Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
