Job Summary Utilize EDI system to obtain customer requirements. Coordinate with manufacturing, inspection, and other departments to meet such requirements. Physically arrange and manage shipment process, coordinating and maintaining all documentation. Communicate with customer and internal departments as needed, regarding supply issues in order to maintain 100% on time delivery. Facilitate receiving of raw materials and consumable parts, maintaining both receiving and finished goods warehouse order. Primary Job Responsibilities • Utilize and perform functions of EDI system, to complete daily shipping. • Perform physical duties required to prepare orders: assemble, label, and ship product. • Utilize computer system to create and maintain necessary documentation with regards to shipping and receiving. • Complete shipping information and delivery data input. • Effectively communicate with customers, trucking companies, etc., as needed. • Receive incoming material and items, process items to their location. • Drive forklift, operate crane, and use material handling equipment regularly. • Maintain inventory of finished goods warehouse, receiving warehouse, performing “First-In First-Out”, and other established procedures • Maintain necessary shipping materials, work areas, and equipment in clean and orderly fashion in conjunction with company 5S procedures. • Assist in bi-annual inventory counting. • Ensure a high level of accuracy within all aspects of your work. • Must be flexible, with willingness to take on new and varying responsibility as needed and assigned. Qualifications & Additional Information Work Environment & Physical Requirements • This job is performed in a climate-controlled warehouse area with active machinery. • The noise level ranges from quiet (in the office) to moderate to loud (within OSHA standards) in the production area. • Due to production needs, non-standard work schedules, such as weekends and holidays, may be necessary. • Required PPE includes gloves when handling product, as well as safety shoes (steel or metatarsal-toe) and safety glasses. • Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading, unloading, packing, and warehouse duties. • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, independently. • Must be able to participate in a team lift for anything over 50 lbs. • Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods. Job Qualifications To successfully fulfill this role, the following qualifications are required: • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience, previous experience in Inventory Control / Shipping environment preferably working in automotive industry. • High school diploma or GED. • Must possess solid analytical, communication, and problem solving skills. • Must have computer knowledge, with experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other associated software. • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision. • Should be able to contribute to the continuous improvement of policies and procedures • Must be able to operate forklift and material handling equipment with safety and efficiency. • Excellent oral and written skills a must.
