This role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is based in our wire department, where you'll wind wire spools to exact specifications matching the right length, color, and gauge to ensure every customer order goes out accurately and on time. Essential Functions 1. Read customer orders and prepare the proper color and gauge of wire for spooling. 2. Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used safely. Eye protection must be worn. 3. Wind wire spools to predetermined specifications and stock them on shelves for order fulfillment. 4. Use both manual and auto-winder machines efficiently and implement strategies to minimize material waste. 5. Light housekeeping to keep the work area and stations clean and stocked. 6. Process orders accurately and promptly. 7. Ensure all orders are complete and ready to ship by the end of each day. 8. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 9:30 am until 6 pm in our Chanhassen location Work Environment This position works in a warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand devices, wire cutters, box cutters, tape dispensers, pallet jacks, wire lift assist equipment, and carts. Wire Department While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. Physical Demands The following are some of the physical demands commonly associated with this position. 1. No unusual physical demands are associated with this position. 2. Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds 3. Frequently lifts, carries, pulls, or pushes 50 pounds. Occasionally lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 100 pounds. 4. Uses cart, dolly, or other equipment to carry more than 50 pounds. 5. Frequently stoops, kneels, balances, reaches, and crouches while performing work duties. 6. Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance 7. Constant use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of automated machinery or equipment 8. Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear 9. Use gauges and dials to program equipment. 10. Use a pallet jack, wire lift assist equipment, and carts.
