The Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Caretaker to look after our fabric goods warehouse. The ideal candidate will take full responsibility for the receiving, dispatching, safe keeping and cutting of fabric materials. Should be familiar with using barcode systems and Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking and with good communication skill. Key Responsibilities: • Goods Receiving & Dispatching: Handle the receipt of incoming fabric materials and ensure proper dispatch of outgoing goods with correct documentation. • Warehouse Care: Take full responsibility for the cleanliness, order, and security of the fabric goods stored in the warehouse. • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels using barcode scanning systems and update inventory data in Excel. • Barcode Handling: Tag and scan fabric goods using barcode systems for organized and traceable storage. • Stock Arrangement: Store goods in an organized manner for easy access, retrieval, and space efficiency. • Quality Checks: Conduct basic quality checks on incoming and outgoing fabric to ensure no damaged or incorrect items are handled. • Communication: Coordinate with internal teams and drivers/couriers regarding delivery schedules and stock needs. • Reporting: Keep daily logs and prepare weekly reports using Excel. • Maintenance & Safety: Keep the warehouse tidy and ensure safety standards are always maintained.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or fabric storekeeping role is preferred. • Fabric cutting as per requirements. Experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate. • Familiarity with barcode inventory systems. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel. • Trustworthy, responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision. • Strong communication skills and a positive work attitude. • Physically fit to handle loading/unloading when required.
