Warehouse Clerk   Purpose:                                                                                                                                     * Valkyrie Enterprises is looking for a Warehouse Clerk in Norfolk, VA. * The position focuses on the systematic management of company assets, specifically focusing on the procurement, storage, and maintenance of consumables and specialized tooling. Job Description: * Manage the check-out/check-in process for precision tools, power equipment, and specialized machinery. * Conduct regular audits of the "Tool Crib" to ensure 100% accountability and reduce "shrinkage" (lost items). * Coordinate the calibration and repair schedules for technical instruments. * Maintain stock levels for "MRO" items (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), such as lubricants, fasteners, safety gear (PPE), and cleaning supplies. * Utilize Inventory Management Software (IMS) or ERP systems to track usage rates and set "re-order points." * Receive incoming shipments, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and organize stock for easy retrieval. * Inspect returned tools for damage or excessive wear; determine if a tool needs sharpening, repair, or decommissioning. * Monitor "wear-and-tear" trends to identify poor-quality brands or improper tool usage by staff. * Ensure all supplies are stored according to safety standards (e.g., proper chemical storage or climate control). * Generate weekly reports on inventory valuation and high-usage items. * Work closely with the purchasing department to source cost-effective vendors without sacrificing quality. Qualifications: * Must have at least 2+ years in warehouse operations, ideally within a maritime, aerospace, or industrial coating environment. * Must have familiarity with NACE or SSPC standards is a significant plus. * Must have ability to lift 50 lbs. and remain mobile in a warehouse setting for extended periods. * Must have extreme precision in tracking batch numbers and expiration dates for chemical compliance. Security Requirements: * Must have a REAL ID. (Must be obtained before start date) * Must be able to acquire DBIDS access to Naval Bases which comes from passing basic security clearance background check.  Must have DBIDS before being put in work site. Travel Requirements: * Moderate travel required: 20% - 45%. * If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
