Job Description This purpose of this position is to perform administrative and clerical functions related to transportation, shipping/receiving, inventory and other warehouse processes. Responsibilities Receiving and sorting of scheduling orders Management of duplicate orders Communication with sales & customers via email/phone Attend scheduled safety and GMP meetings Scheduling of deliveries Management of order/delivery documentation Update the Shift Supervisor on packaging supply status Review orders and select product for each load following FIFO Filing and scanning of any relevant documentation Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies Perform clerical duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager Support and back up to Transportation Specialist Competencies Must be highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines Must have good problem solving skills Must be detail oriented Must be team oriented Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferred. Equipment/Software Skills: Proficient (or ability to become proficient) use of Word/Excel and various inventory system. Additional Information Physical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant, to include walking and climbing up/down stairs and ladders (portable, fixed). Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.) Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.
