Description:

We are looking for a talented WAREHOUSE COÖRDINATOR to join our team for CUMMINS, Herten, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating various warehouse operations, including Inbound, Outbound, and Kitting activities, to ensure efficient workflow and storage optimization. This role involves handling logistics tasks, operating forklifts, and using ERP systems to manage inventory while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • College, University or equivalent degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports and advanced level computer skills.
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • Logistics and Warehousing experience preferred, including 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider management.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and perform tasks with utmost care, ensuring seamless coordination and operational efficiency.
  • Extensive experience in logistics, demonstrating a deep understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain management.
  • Proficient in handling forklift trucks, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Confident in using ERP systems, particularly Oracle and IFS, to manage warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Capable of taking responsibility for personal and team obligations, ensuring commitments are met with high standards of accountability.
  • Skilled in building strong customer relationships and providing customer-oriented solutions, consistently achieving good results even under challenging circumstances.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

  • Collaborate with operations management to coordinate activities across various warehouse areas, including Inbound, Outbound, and Kitting, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Oversee the receipt, sorting, labeling/packaging, and storage of incoming goods, and manage the picking, packing, and shipping of products to meet customer specifications.
  • Arrange and store parts to maximize the utilization of warehouse space, ensuring goods are properly stored for optimal access and efficiency.
  • Operate manual and automated tools and machines to efficiently pick, pack, and ship products according to customer expectations and order requirements.
  • Pick parts for production based on specific requirements, ensuring they are accurately sorted and handed over for manufacturing processes.
  • Follow all standard work procedures, work instructions, and quality procedures to maintain high standards of warehouse operations.
  • Identify and raise issues promptly to minimize cost and quality exposures, ensuring any discrepancies are addressed and resolved efficiently.
  • Perform quality checks to identify damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices and manage non-conforming materials to maintain product integrity.
