Description Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator Department: Operations Reports To: Distribution Manager Position Type: Full Time Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 5:30am-2pm w/ OT when applicable Wage: $21.00 - $22.50 Shift Differential Per Hour When Applicable Purpose of PositionTo direct the daily activities of a warehouse or account, including labor scheduling, and proper utilization of space and equipment as directed by Distribution Manager. Position Competency Ability to coordinate and communicate The ability to build a good relationship with the team. Knowledge of WMS and Microsoft Outlook.. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license. Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device. Must be able to lift 50lbs., sit, stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to twist, squat and reach above shoulder level. Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment. Position Expectations Productivity/Quality As directed by Distribution Manager, plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met. Understand customer contract requirements. Ensure SOP and customer work instructions are followed. Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily labor schedules. Motivate and lead the team to achieve stated objectives. Develop and maintain a productive work team by assisting the Distribution Manager in training and cross training of employees. Assist Distribution Manager to ensure current and accurate inventory control for each account. Safety & Security Follow food/safety SOPs and AIB standards. Report equipment and facility building/grounds damage and repairs. Drive a culture of safety throughout the company to achieve safety goals and objectives. Follow safety and security policies and SOPs Image, Appearance and Sanitation Ensure all departments’ equipment and overall appearance is maintained as defined by the company. Report deviations to Distribution Manager. Ensure storage of product is in a neat and orderly fashion according to customer requirements. Direct disposal or repack of non-conforming products per the customer’s work instructions. Assist with monthly facility audits. Customer Service Interface directly with the customer and maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers. Ensure customer requests are responded to immediately. Provides follow-up to customers to ensure that problem is resolved or being worked on. General Communicate company information via pre-shift meetings as directed by Distribution Manager. Continuously evaluate ways to improve the accuracy and efficiencies of department. (identifying at least 1 significant improvement annually)
