We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Department Manager to oversee all 2nd shift warehouse operations at our egg processing facility. This role’s primary objective is the organization and workflow of materials in the shipping and receiving department.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills utilizing a continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience with ERP/inventory systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Savanna.NET preferred).
• Collaboration with plant personnel, maintenance, and management.
• Ability to accurately enter pallet tag data into the warehouse management system.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Must be able to operate a yard dog.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Provide guidance and oversight to warehouse personnel to achieve department objectives.
• Communicate and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers.
• Monitor and maintain accurate consumable products inventory.
• Collaborate with plant managers to ensure inventory needs are met.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure materials/products including creation of purchase orders and organizing incoming shipments.
• Verify paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Provide accurate weekly and monthly inventory measurements.
• Maintain Eggs Cargo and Dry Goods inventory in the inventory management system.
• Plan and schedule waste disposal pickups.
• Utilize the inventory management system to develop automated inventory workflows.
• Collaborate with the sales team for inventory management system improvements.
• Steward safe workers by following and enforcing safety regulations and policies.
