Responsibilities

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:

The Warehouse & Despatch Lead plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods on time and in full to the customer. This position involves coordinating the daily activities of warehouse personnel, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the accuracy of shipments and inventory.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out all duties in accordance with Company rules H&S guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Receive product from Production or external source and store in correct areas, checking accuracy.
  • Identify stock that can be used on orders by means of checking picking lists or separate information passed on from the Customer Support office.
  • Ensure that shipments are packed up in a secure method and relevant shipping paperwork is prepared via the business system/carriers’ system or advised by Customer Support office. Arrange Collections for customer direct orders.
  • Modify stock as instructed by production/customer support.
  • Liaise with internal departments.
  • Interact with carriers on pick up of orders.
  • Ensure that stores and despatch areas are always tidy, and goods are stored in correct bays/areas.
  • Ensure 6S is carried out.
  • Inventory stock control. Monitor and report on stock levels plus slow moving.
  • Carry out perpetual stock checks and stocktaking as per company guidelines.
  • Ensuring Operators are completing check list on the FLT’s.
  • Controlling all Subcontracting Parts to the Supplier
  • Controlling SRR’s to the supplier
  • Supplier Returns and stock transactions.
  • Late Line review and chase for dates to be modified.
  • Manage staff to fulfil the needs of the business and crucial times.
