As a Warehouse Driver at PCs for People, you won’t just be transporting electronics—you’ll help bridge the gap in digital access for underserved communities and promote responsible, sustainable recycling. About The Role PCs for People is seeking a full-time Warehouse Driver / Associate to join our growing team. This role combines driving and warehouse operations, with majority of your time spent on the road loading and unloading equipment, and the remaining hours supporting our warehouse operations. You’ll represent PCs for People at client locations, ensuring safe, timely, and professional service while embodying our mission. Additionally, this associate must follow DOT regulations, including DOT physicals, to keep themselves and others safe while driving. Key Role Responsibilities Driving & Delivery Operate a 20'–26' box truck (no CDL required) to safely pick up and deliver computer equipment Perform pre-trip inspections and follow DOT safety requirements Manually load and palletize equipment at client sites (clients do not assist with loading) Pre-sort equipment on site during pickups to facilitate smoother sorting at the warehouse Maintain and secure vehicle cleanliness, fuel, and supplies Complete and document Transfer of Ownership paperwork at client sites Communicate professionally with donors and clients about our mission and processes Meet KPI targets for timely and accurate deliveries and pick-ups Warehouse Operations Load/unload equipment, weigh and label bins, and record inventory accurately in the CRM Assist with sorting, palletizing, and processing donated equipment Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized Support bulk order fulfillment and equipment distribution Safety & Compliance Follow all NAID certification procedures for secure handling of data-containing devices Comply with internal safety, vehicle, and environmental standards Participate in routine safety checks, audits, and emergency procedures Requirements Desired Skills/Qualifications Valid driver’s license (no CDL required) with a clean 3 year driving record Ability to pass a DOT medical exam, pre-employment drug screen, and follow post accident screening requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently, and up to 75 lbs occasionally Strong communication skills and customer service mindset Stay calm and solution-focused under pressure Self-directed, self-motivated, and a strong analytical thinker Commitment to safety, teamwork, and mission Interest in computers, internet, people and technology Forklift experience a plus What We Value Genuine interest in people, technology, and digital equity Compassionate, curious, and community-minded Graceful under pressure and adaptable in dynamic situations Collaborative teammate who brings energy and empathy to every interaction Self-motivated and solutions-oriented thinker Previous networking and/or installation experience highly desirable Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting while driving and standing while performing warehouse tasks Ability to frequently lift or move items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds Frequent use of computer, handheld devices, or other office/warehouse equipment Regular bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing in and out of vehicles Capability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including non–temperature-controlled spaces Manual dexterity to handle tools, equipment, and small components Extended periods of walking, standing, loading, and unloading throughout the workday Visual acuity to read labels, follow routes, and perform detailed tasks Commitment to following physical safety protocols and proper lifting techniques We are a growing non-profit and expect this position to drive continued growth.
