Use of work equipment

• Select tools for weighing, measuring and counting
• Use of work equipment, resources, etc.
• Maintain work equipment and equipment, check their functionality and readiness for use, and initiate the elimination of any impairments by reporting them.
• PC usage with standard software and workplace-specific software for displaying storage locations

Picking the goods/merchandise

• Check predefined picking lists, determine storage locations and prepare order picking using a scanner.
• Remove goods from the warehouse, taking into account outsourcing principles, and report changes in inventory.
• Check the assembled goods and accompanying documents for completeness, mark them, label them and prepare them for transport.
• Monitor stock levels and notify dispatch if a shortage is detected.

Transport of goods/merchandise

• Transport goods/merchandise within the company, in compliance with legal and company regulations, using available material handling equipment (forklifts, high-bay stackers, and pallet jacks, cranes).

Attention to work organization, information and communication

• Use standard software (Windows, WORD, EXCEL) and workplace-specific software (SAP).
• Ensure communication with upstream and downstream functional areas (e.g., manufacturing, production control, design, sales, shipping, suppliers, scheduling and purchasing).
• Complete tasks as a team, coordinate and evaluate results with superiors

Requirements

• 2-year vocational training in a relevant field (e.g. warehouse specialist) or several years of experience in warehousing in a metal production company
• Knowledge of the standard Windows software WORD and EXCEL
• Knowledge of workplace-related software (SAP)
• Driving licence and experience in handling transport equipment such as forklifts and high-bay stackers
