ABOUT NNL RAILINGS:

NNL Railings is a small, dynamic fabrication shop specializing in custom railings and architectural metals for construction projects in the Pacific Northwest. Join our team to support the Plant Operations Manager in leading our fabrication and warehouse operations, while contributing to the growth of our region’s thriving construction industry.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse/Fabrication Supervisor oversees daily operations in our fabrication shop and warehouse, ensuring high-quality production of architectural metal products, efficient logistics, and a safe, organized work environment. This role combines hands-on fabrication leadership with supervisory responsibilities, including process development, cost management, and team coordination. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, leadership experience, and a commitment to meeting Washington State’s building and safety standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of fabrication experience in architectural metals or related fields (e.g., railings, staircases, cladding).
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a fabrication or warehouse setting, supervising teams of 3+ employees.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving, including logistics for import/export.
  • Proven ability to develop internal processes and write policies for fabrication or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in writing and executing maintenance programs for shop equipment.
  • Demonstrated skills in cost management and budget oversight.

Certifications:

  • OSHA 20 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • WABO (Washington Association of Building Officials) certification, such as WABO Welder or Special Inspector (relevant to welding/fabrication).

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, and finishing for architectural metals.
  • Proficiency in warehouse operations, including inventory management and logistics coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and use CAD software (basic proficiency acceptable).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of aluminum welding experience (TIG preferred).
  • Experience with plasma and laser cutting technologies.
  • Certification or training in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, or other production/project management methodologies.

  • Project Efficiency: Apply production and project management methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, lean manufacturing) to streamline operations and meet deadlines.
