JOB SUMMARY

This position contributes the success of Gemsa Enterprises by overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including storage, inventory control, and distribution of edible oils. This role ensures efficient warehouse management, accurate stock control, and timely dispatch of orders while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team, optimize processes, and coordinate logistics to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

D. FACILITY MAINTENANCE & PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

· Oversee the regular maintenance and upkeep of warehouse infrastructure, equipment, and utilities.
· Plan and execute facility upgrades, renovations, and expansions as needed.
· Coordinate with contractors and service providers for maintenance and project execution.
· Identify and implement facility improvements that enhance operational efficiency and safety.
· Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to facility management.
E. Maintain a productive workforce that efficiently meets the needs of the company:
· Manage, model, set tone, and guide employees in the company’s culture, values, policy, and service expectations; promote Company and department initiatives, policy, procedures in a positive and motivational manner.
· Develop a workforce that is highly engaged and committed to the Company values, goals, and culture; ensure employees’ appearance is neat and professional (with uniform and nametag if required) and demeanor is respectful and professional.
· Effectively plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise work activities of subordinates; ensure all tasks and services are consistently performed efficiently, on a timely manner, and in accordance with company policy and guidelines.
· Evaluate and hold employees accountable for results and quality of service; provide clear performance expectations, training, coaching, and discipline all policy violations and failure to meet expectations in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
· Maintain adequate staffing level; plan staffing needs proactively, develop budget, create accurate job descriptions, recruit in a timely manner, hire individuals qualified for their position and who embody the company values.
· Foster collaboration and job ownership among staff; engage staff in planning, process improvement, strategy implementation, conflict resolution and problem solving, as appropriate.
· Develop staff and encourage professional and personal growth through goal-setting, hands-on training, coaching, and mentoring towards meeting personal, department, and company business goals.
F. Maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation:
· Create and manage department budget; including payroll, supplies, training, employee incentives, operational cost, etc.
· Manage Payroll cost; efficiently schedule based on business need, review timecards for accuracy, review, approve, and submit timecards, wages due, vacation requests, and sick pay requests by given Payroll processing deadlines; hold employees accountable for timecard mismanagement, wage theft, unauthorized overtime, unauthorized delayed/missed meal breaks, and unexcused tardies and absences in a timely basis.
· Ensure cost-containment; routinely audit supplies, projects, and vendors for alignment with annual budget, ROI, and service quality.
· Collaborate with other departments to find solutions that are in the best interest of the company; interact efficiently with team leaders, supervisors, and staff to resolve interdepartmental processes.
· Ensure employees maintain current on department procedures, policy, guidelines, government laws, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to their position.
· Foster efficient, high-quality service; continuously seek to improve processes, products, and services; solicit and apply feedback to correct department deficiencies in service and/or enhancement in quality of service.
· Safeguard confidential information properly; ensure work area is efficiently secured and confidential information related to employee, customers, business partners, and company are stored securely in a timely basis and only discussed with others as necessary for business purposes and allowed by law.
G. Ensure A Safe Work Environment:
· Comply with the Company Health and Safety (H&S) processes while working on projects, initiatives and other work-related duties; perform job duties in a way that will not cause danger to self or others, or violate local, state, federal, environmental regulations.
· Wear protective equipment required to perform tasks properly and safely.
· Ensure work location is kept safe, clean, and organized; promptly report all accidents and immediately correct (if possible) and report all hazards, potential hazards, and unsafe work condition to the Safety Manager and Human Resources.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATION

· Required: Minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience in same or similar positions preferably in distribution or logistics industry.
· Required: Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, facility management or related field
· Required: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

· Required: At least eighteen (18) years of age.
· Required: Reliable and punctual attendance.
· Required: Excellent time-management skills; prioritizing and completing assigned job tasks effectively.
· Required: Bi-lingual oral, speech, and writing skills in English and Spanish or other language is an asset in this position
· Required: Travel (by vehicle and plane) for business, training, and/or development, including overnight trips.
· Required: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
· Required: Computer Experience: proficient Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, ERP system, or Facility Management system.

AUTHORITY LEVEL

· Budgets: Develops and manage all department budgets; profitability, operations, payroll, etc.

· Payroll: Approves staff timecards, time off, and status changes.
· Expenses: Approves department expense up to approved amount set by Finance Department, vendor contracts, and equipment.

A. Ensure warehouse operations management by:

· Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure stock accuracy.
· Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to align stock levels with demand.
C. Cost Control & Efficiency Improvement:
· Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
· Monitor and control warehouse expenses, including labor, storage, and logistics costs.
· Optimize warehouse processes to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
