Job Title: Warehouse Floater                                                                    Department: Warehouse Reports to: Warehouse Manager                                                             Effective Date: 4/28/2025 Job Summary: The Warehouse Floater is responsible for providing flexible support across various warehouse functions and warehouse locations.  This role involves assisting with tasks in shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, material handling, as well as performing general warehouse duties.  The Warehouse Floater is expected to be adaptable, responsive to operational needs, and able to contribute to the overall efficiency of warehousing operations. Supervisory Responsibilities: n/a Duties/Responsibilities: * Operate forklift, high reach forklift, and electric/manual pallet jack. * Safely load and unload products from trailers. * Assist in the arrangement of stock in the warehouse and delivery of items to appropriate departments and/or locations. * Accurately and efficiently pick inventory to customer orders – verify that the correct product is in the bin, scan bar coded boxes with hand-held RF scanner, pick correct number of case to the order, and inspect products for defects and/or damage. * Shrink-wrap finished pallets using a wrapping machine and stage orders in the warehouse. * Ensure proper code date / lot code rotation using FEFO. * Maintain a clean working environment. * Perform simple maintenance and housekeeping tasks. * Check equipment to ensure health and safety requirements are met. * These tasks may be performed at any of the different warehouse locations in Sioux City. * Other duties as assigned.   Required Skills/Abilities:  * 5+ years for forklift experience. * Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation for movement between warehouse locations in Sioux City * WMS and scanner experience strongly preferred * Experience working with push-back racking preferred * Experience working with food products and familiarity with lot codes and expiration dates, FEFO rotation, etc. * Ability to multi-task and be flexible, as job assignments can change often * Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations * Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and problem-solving skills * Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment * Ability to communicate effectively across all functions within the plant and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals at all levels * Ability to work overtime as needed and as required * Ability to maintain acceptable standards of conduct * Ability to verbally communicate proficiently in English to effectively engage with internal teams. Applicant must be proficient in reading and understanding English-language manuals, equipment, instructions, and other documents relevant to the role.
