Description JOB OBJECTIVE The Warehouse Freight Specialist is responsible for accurately preparing and shipping wholesale freight orders on a timely basis. Steady Schedule + Seasonal Overtime to Keep Our Customers Smiling: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm. JOB SUMMARY 1. Prepare all documentation for shipments (e.g., bills of lading) 2. Provide support to the Warehouse EDI specialist 3. Create special labeling for selected vendors 4. Accurately follow directions using vendor routing guides 5. Coordination of all transportation operations to support facility, including, but not limited to coordination of all LTL transportation, carrier management, planning and execution of tradeshow logistics 6. Coordinate ship dates for accurate and timely shipment of orders 7. Secure best in class for specific modes to assure reliable service and competitive costs 8. Cross train to other outbound areas to assist as needed. 9. Assist in managing, processing, and resolving all product returns accurately and efficiently Requirements EXPECTATIONS 1. Solid written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, listening skills and coaching/supporting skills, presentation skills 2. Experience in Microsoft Office- specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook 3. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment as needed. 4. Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand, bend, squat, reach, kneel, stoop, stretch 5. High School degree or equivalent 6. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse setting 7. Experience with inventory control and SKU management desired.
