Salary - £28,808.00 per annum
Full time - 40 hours, 5 days per week
22 months FTC

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage queries from customers and the Contact Centre via phone and email in a timely manner.
  • Receiving delivered goods for the Commercial department and physically transferring them from delivery point to the retail warehouse location.
  • Picking and transferring warehouse stock for Gallery retail locations.
  • Picking, packing and shipping online, telephone, trade and internal orders. Using online ecommerce and courier systems to print orders, record fulfilled orders and add tracking information.
  • Checking, counting and receiving stock deliveries, investigating and reporting discrepancies, damages and any shortages.
  • Operating the warehouse Print On Demand system and fulfilling orders on request.
  • Support in the annual stock take and interim stock spot checks.
  • Entering sales and goods received into the inventory management system and completing any associated filing of delivery paperwork.
  • Processing returns and refunds in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, order and tidiness of stock and warehouse. Observe, champion and comply with Health & Safety Policies, applying best practices.
  • Other duties/projects as required.
  • Promoting sustainable working practices and reducing the environmental impact of the Gallery’s operations in line with its Sustainability Statement.

KEY EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND CRITERIA:

  • Demonstrable experience working as a warehouse fulfilment assistant or similar role, with a good understanding of all aspects involved in omnichannel retail processes, ideally within a museum or other similar organisation.
  • Experience of ecommerce order processing and digital printing would be desirable.
  • A good team player, who is flexible, reliable and willing to help others.
  • A self-starter who is able to manage their workload with minimal supervision.
  • Capable and comfortable of physically demanding tasks and manual handling of high volumes of items. This role requires manual handling activities such as, but not limited to, carrying, pushing and lifting and is therefore physically demanding.
  • A drive to deliver excellent customer service – both external and internal customers.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels and across departments.
  • Attention to detail and respect for accurate data entry and stock handling.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ecommerce and stock control software and systems.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple and competing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues within Commercial and across the Gallery.
  • Demonstrates passion and approaches all work in an enthusiastic way.

Responsibilities

Working alongside the Warehouse and Ecommerce Supervisor, the Warehouse Fulfilment Assistant is responsible for assisting with the fulfilment of shop floor stock availability and online orders. Maintaining accurate stock inventory, handling customer enquiries, processing incoming and outgoing deliveries and the general smooth running of the warehouse.
