Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar stores or materials handling role.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and clear communication skills.
  • A valid forklift licence (or willingness to train and certify).
  • Competence with inventory systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge of engineering or construction materials (preferred)
Responsibilities

Our client - is looking for a highly organised and self-motivated Stores & Materials Coordinator to become part of our dynamic engineering team in Limavady. This practical, hands-on position plays a crucial role in overseeing inventory levels, managing incoming deliveries, and maintaining the smooth operation of our yard and workshop. You’ll assist with both workshop and site-based tasks, helping to ensure materials are available where and when they are needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and log deliveries; update internal inventory records.
  • Keep inventory records accurate and ensure items are properly labelled and stored.
  • Organise materials for ongoing projects and inform relevant teams upon receipt.
  • Prepare goods for shipment and coordinate courier services.
  • Keep the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and well-organised.
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload materials.
  • Communicate with suppliers and schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Assist in implementing Kanban systems and lean stock management methods.
  • Follow all health, safety, and quality protocols.
