Description

Our client, who has been thriving for 25+ years developing commercial and industrial facilities for a specific industry, is seeking to bring on a manager to handle sourcing and inventory control in support of their service and construction departments. Your main responsibility will be to ensure correct inventory levels are maintained to support operational demands and strategically build partnerships with suppliers to negotiate the best possible outcomes when procuring products.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Two plus years in a supervisory position directly leading a team with inventory control, product management, and distribution responsibilities
  • Clear ability to articulate how they plan to lead, manage, and set accountability expectations throughout team
  • Minimum of three years developing operational procedures for inventory, warehouse, and distribution
  • Develop strategies to maintain proper inventory levels, effectively track distribution channels using internal systems, and liaison between suppliers and internal project stack holders
  • Proficiency with ERP software applications relevant to the construction and service industry

DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Undergraduate degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business and/or certifications related to inventory control, supply chain, or purchasing
  • Purchasing or warehouse management experience supporting the construction or skilled trades services industry
  • Proven ability to develop strong supplier and vendor partnerships focused on creating cost-effective product channels
  • Strong data analytic and forecasting capability to manage new and existing product inventory
  • Experience developing and implementing inventory control procedures and training staff on best practices
  • Exception ability to leverage their verbal, written, and technology skills to create a highly effective operation
