MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Warehouse Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating material movements, and ensuring efficient inventory operations. This role plays a key part in supporting production and maintaining accuracy by managing incoming and outgoing materials, verifying documents, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & TASK: Maintain accurate inventory records of shipyard materials, tools, and equipment Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments in accordance with company procedures Issue and track materials to production teams based on project requirements Collaborate with purchasing and production departments to forecast material needs Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company regulations Safely operate all company vehicles and forklifts Follow all guidelines as set forth in the forklift driver’s manual policy All other duties and additional administrative duties as required Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics Experience using inventory management systems (IMS) or ERP software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks) Forklift and warehouse experience is necessary REQUIRED SKILLS: Computer Proficiency – Microsoft Suite, especially in Excel, Word, and Outlook Attention to Detail – Able to catch inventory discrepancies and errors Organization and Record Keeping – Label and organize all materials based on Hull Communication – Strong written and verbal abilities Analytical Ability – Identifying patterns in inventory usage or loss Valid Driver’s License PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Ability to perform repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Ability to use upper and lower extremities. Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Able to work inside and outside in heat, inclement weather, and cold MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Normal level of visual acuity needed. Must be able to understand and follow directions. Normal hearing level needed. Hand-eye coordination required. HAZARDS: Weather, fumes, moving mechanical parts, equipment, and vibration
