Warehouse Inventory Specialist
The Warehouse Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring the inventory is ordered correctly, labeled, and stock correctly. In addition, this role also oversees inventory management and ensures accurate tracking, storage, and distribution of products. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse operation. Key Responsibilities:
Training Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for warehouse staff on key topics including inventory procedures, and company policies.
- Provide on-the-job training for new hires, ensuring they are proficient in warehouse inventory operations.
- Conduct refresher training sessions for existing employees to maintain high levels of performance.
- Keep training materials updated to reflect changes in policies, equipment, or technology.
Inventory Coordination:
- Oversee daily inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking of products and materials in the warehouse.
- Conduct regular stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team to monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.
- Ensure proper storage of products according to best practices, including labeling, shelving, and rotation.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and shipments.
- Generate inventory reports and assist with forecasting and replenishment processes.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce warehouse safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Investigate and report on accidents or safety violations, taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Assist with compliance audits and inspections as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of warehouse processes and workflows.
- Act as a point of contact for warehouse staff regarding operational or inventory-related issues.
- Support the Warehouse Manager in troubleshooting and resolving operational challenges.
- Daily reporting to the Office Manager and Corporate Office by phone or email.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics.
- Previous experience in a training or coaching role is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Forklift certification and other warehouse equipment certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 45 lbs regularly.
- Ability to work in various warehouse conditions, including temperature variations.
Basic Skill Set Required:
- Comfortable working in Fast Pace environment where deadlines need to be met
- Open to working Saturdays; if required
- Able to perform work assignments under brief instructions
- Able to work under minimum supervision
- Able to work under pressure as a team or individually
- Must communicate with lead or supervisor immediately once work assignments are complete
- Must be open to working in other local locations for support and seasonal needs

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
