What does the Warehouse Lead do?

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating and guiding daily warehouse activities, including inventory control, shipping/receiving, and logistics, to support production needs. This role ensures that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production schedules, while maintaining accurate inventory records and smooth operational flow.

• Coordinate daily activities of Warehouse/Shipping-Receiving operations, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
• Monitor warehouse cleanliness and ensure proper storage and condition of products.
• Schedule and prioritize orders to be picked and shipped in alignment with production and customer deadlines.
• Plan shipments cost-effectively and in coordination with logistics providers.
• Monitor weekly production schedules to ensure optimal levels of raw materials and packaging.
• Optimize inventory levels, conduct daily audits, and record results for reporting inventory accuracy.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and stock concerns, providing explanations and resolutions to the Director of Operations.
• Compile and deliver various operational reports as requested.
• Coordinate activities between different warehouse locations to ensure consistent operations.
• Update and adjust inventory data in SAP as required.
• Adhere to all company policies, health and safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Work flexible hours and perform effectively under time constraints during peak demand.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and/or Chief Operating Officer.
