Description The Warehouse Lead will take the lead on a designated process, as assigned by the Warehouse Manager, and ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard. The lead will ensure that team members complete all tasks are completed on a daily basis for their responsible area. The goal is to motivate other team members and be a self-motivated, positive team member to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction through committing to working hard, being reliable/punctual, keeping track of inventory for assigned client base and housing the product safely. KEY RESULT AREA Motivate team members to ensure that all tasks are completed as assigned on a daily basis for the designated duties Be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate other team members to ensure that tasks are completed effectively, in a positive manner Have a positive, flexible attitude with a can-do attitude, ready to jump in to lend a hand at all costs Ensure that all tasks are completed on a daily basis before dismissing the team or leaving Ability to be on your feet, walking or standing still for an 8 hour shift Lead the designated team to provide support to prepare and complete orders for delivery according to schedule (pick, pack, wrap, label, load and prepare to ship) Lead the team to receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label and store) Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization Complete diary logs into inventory Report any discrepancies Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment and conduct daily checks to ensure safety is upheld at all times Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations Ability to use basic computer and software functions to track inventory functions Some maintenance ability to help with basic maintenance functions Any other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager SKILLS · Problem solve, and multi-task with attention to detail in a fast paced always changing environment · Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written Ability to handle sharp materials, high attention to detail, to avoid injuries Ability to lead and motivate others in a positive way Ability to stand in one spot for the duration of a shift Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods Good organizational and time management skills Ability to lift heavy objects Ability to use basic computer functions Forklift operational experience Requirements High school or equivalent (Preferred) 1 year Experience in a Warehouse Lead position 1 year Forklift experience (preferred) Able to lift 50 lbs. in weight
