Position Summary: Work directly with the Depot Manager and Depot Supervisor in coordinating the receiving and processing of all inbound freight; supervise, guide, and direct leads and warehouse personnel to ensure all inbound freight is offloaded, processed, sorted, palletized and loaded in a timely manner; inspect pallet quality to reduce damages and miss-routed packages; communicate with managers, leads, and package handlers; coordinate warehouse changes and make adjustments as needed; assist with training new personnel as well as review current/new procedures with staff; estimate pallets weights prior to loading to ensure trucks are below GVWR requirements; communicate with inbound drivers to estimate volumes, assign dock doors, and ensure timely arrivals to the office; perform other related duties as required. The Warehouse Supervisor is also expected to meet performance standards set by management and to comply with all company policies and procedures. Requirements Qualifications Needed: Prior experience as a supervisor in warehouse and transportation environment. Ability to lead, direct, and supervise warehouse employees. Have basic reading, math, computer and typing skills. Have knowledge of major cities and zip codes in the states that we operate. Be able to communicate verbally and via email in clear manner. Comprehend written and oral information effectively. Have the ability to multitask and prioritize daily responsibilities. Work an afternoon shift, weekends, and overtime as needed.
