Diversified Staffing Services, Alberta’s leading staffing agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee daily operations within our warehouse environment. This role requires effective leadership skills to ensure that all tasks related to shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment are executed efficiently while maintaining safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or lead hand role
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
• Comfortable or exposure to WMS systems; EDI and RF scanner experience an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50lbs and perform warehouse duties as needed.

• Lead and coordinate day to day warehouse activities, including inbound receiving, storage, order picking, packing and outbound shipping.
• Act as first point of contact for warehouse staff, ensuring smooth workflow and addressing issues in real time.
• Monitor productivity, accuracy, and safety standards, taking corrective action when necessary.
• Train and mentor new team members on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager/ Director to plan staffing and meet operational deadlines.
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts and WMS data integrity.
• Promote and enforce company policies, health and safety guidelines, and regulatory compliance (including bonded/ excise requirements).
