JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee warehouse operations and ensure efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to safety and process improvement. This role is critical in managing inventory, logistics, and team performance within our distribution center.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes is a plus.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance is beneficial.
  • Experience with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage team dynamics effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and orders.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including receiving, storing, and shipping products accurately.
  • Oversee team management, providing guidance and support to warehouse staff to enhance productivity and teamwork.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on materials handling, forklift operation, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions using AS400 or similar systems.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required during shipping & receiving activities.
