About the role: The Warehouse Lead is a hands-on role responsible for day-to-day warehouse operations in a small team environment. This position works alongside other warehouse staff to pick, pack, ship, receive, and organize inventory while providing basic leadership and coordination for daily tasks. The focus is on accuracy, reliability, and keeping warehouse operations running smoothly. This position requires an in-person presence, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, at our HQ in Commack, NY. Core Responsibilities: Order Fulfillment (Primary Responsibility) Configure devices, pick, pack, and ship customer and internal orders accurately and on time Prepare shipping labels and ensure packages are properly packed and documented Verify orders before shipment to minimize errors and returns Inventory & Organization Maintain basic inventory accuracy for a small number of products Receive incoming shipments and ensure items are stored in the correct locations Perform simple inventory checks as needed (counts, low-stock awareness) Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and easy to navigate Returns & Receiving Receive and inspect returned items Restock, set aside, or flag items as needed based on condition Communicate any recurring issues with returns or damaged goods Team Coordination Act as the day-to-day point person for warehouse activities Help assign daily tasks and keep work moving efficiently Train new team members on basic warehouse procedures Lead by example through hands-on work and reliability Process & Improvement Follow simple warehouse procedures and help suggest improvements Assist in creating or updating basic checklists or instructions when helpful Communicate issues, delays, or supply needs to management Skills & Qualifications: Prior experience working in a warehouse, fulfillment, or shipping environment in a supervisory role Comfortable performing hands-on physical work throughout the day Basic organizational and problem-solving skills Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Ability to lift and move packages (up to ~50 lbs.) Responsibilities
