Position Summary In the absence of Warehouse Management or Supervision, the Warehouse Lead assumes responsibility for daily warehouse operations within the assigned facility. This role is responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting operational goals and customer expectations. The Warehouse Lead supports team members through leadership, communication, coaching, and training while helping maintain productivity, inventory accuracy, and facility compliance. Support and coach warehouse employees to achieve productivity, safety, and quality goals. Address performance concerns appropriately and involve management when necessary. Maintain effective communication with employees, drivers, customers, and leadership. Assist with staffing coverage, operational planning, and workflow coordination. Ensure inventory accuracy and complete reports, billing, and administrative records accurately. Promote and enforce all company safety procedures, GMP requirements, and housekeeping standards. Keep the facility organized, clean, and audit-ready. Communicate customer requests and operational updates through phone, email, and other correspondence. Operate and train employees on warehouse equipment, including forklifts and stretch wrappers. Assist with warehouse projects, continuous improvement efforts, and additional duties as assigned. Work overtime, weekends, or travel to other facilities when needed. Requirements Qualifications High School Diploma required. Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Lean training preferred, but not required. Skilled in Microsoft Office and warehouse systems, including Wise. Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math. Experience with data entry, billing accuracy, inventory control, and meeting deadlines. Skilled in operating material handling equipment and training others on safe operation. Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence, and customer service. Work Environment This position works in a warehouse environment and may require standing, walking, lifting, bending, and operating warehouse equipment for extended periods.
