JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations in our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse processes, including inventory management, logistics, and shipping & receiving. This role requires a proactive approach to process improvement and team management to ensure efficiency and safety in all warehouse activities.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor is essential.
  • Strong background in inventory management, logistics, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 is preferred.
  • Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while promoting a positive work culture.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards related to warehouse operations is required.
  • Previous experience in materials handling and shipping & receiving functions is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory control processes, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for effective inventory management and logistics coordination.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices in materials handling, heavy lifting, and equipment operation.
  • Collaborate with e-commerce teams to streamline order processing and fulfillment.
  • Maintain mechanical knowledge of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, to assist with operations as needed.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize distribution strategies.
