POSITION SUMMARY

Smart Warehousing is seeking experience in Warehouse Leadership (Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor) for our Sumner Washington location. The Warehouse Leader is responsible for the success of a warehouse or assigned area of operations through accurate and safe receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of customer goods. This role leads and develops warehouse teams, ensures operational efficiency, and maintains high service levels. The ideal candidate has experience in bonded warehousing operations and a deep understanding of customs compliance and secure inventory management for import/export of goods.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or supply chain operations
  • Experience with bonded warehouse procedures, customs regulations, and import/export documentation.
  • Personnel management and supervisory experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and warehouse systems (WMS, PO, ERP).
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate warehouse teams to meet productivity, quality, and safety targets.
  • Train, onboard, and coach staff while driving accountability and high performance.
  • Oversee hiring, daily supervision, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Promote and enforce SOPs and process adherence to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customer inventories, monitor order fulfillment, and oversee shipping activities.
  • Analyze and report on operational metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes.
  • Ensure warehouse layout, product flow, and equipment support efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns and operational issues.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities such as timecards, supplies, and reporting.
  • Plan and execute customer site visits and manage ongoing communication.
  • Ensure bonded warehouse activities meet U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements.
  • Maintain proper storage, documentation, and handling of bonded goods.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and internal teams for compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Support audits and ensure segregation of bonded and non-bonded inventory.
  • Handles bonded warehousing environment, regulations, and procedures across the warehouse.
