  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and confident in using workforce management systems such as Cascade.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

The Keg Compound Line Lead is responsible for supporting the Site Manager in the daily operations of the Keg department. The role ensures all keg-related activities are completed efficiently, service and performance targets are met or exceeded, high housekeeping standards are maintained, and health and safety regulations are strictly followed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Site Manager in managing the day-to-day running of the keg operation.
  • Schedule, supervise, and support the activities and functions of the keg team.
  • Communicate plans and targets clearly to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and resolve any operational issues in the keg area.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all keg-related tasks.
  • Enforce compliance with health and safety policies, safe systems of work, and maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Monitor team performance, maintain accurate records, and report issues that may disrupt operations.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and organise training to improve team performance and flexibility.
  • Offer regular performance feedback—both formal and informal—highlighting achievements and areas for development.
  • Participate actively in management discussions and contribute ideas for improving efficiency, quality, and customer focus.
  • Conduct shift handovers and walkabouts with the next team leader for smooth transitions.
  • Attend daily production meetings to raise or note operational concerns.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments and third parties for efficient keg processing.
  • Ensure all administrative duties, including trailer documentation and shift handover reports, are completed and recorded accurately.
  • Monitor equipment such as washer temperatures and FLT cleanliness, and ensure all start-up checks are completed when applicable.
