QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and find solutions to solve them in a timely manner
  • Leadership qualities and effective teamwork skills
  • Proven strength as a team builder, developer of staff, coach and mentor
  • Delegates responsibility effectively
  • Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
  • Solid written, verbal and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the logistics controller office
  • Booking truck appointments for both incoming and outgoing freight
  • Scheduling shipping and receiving orders
  • Planning outbound trailer departure plans – including pallet spots, weight, and drop order
  • Updating Excel Documents and Reports as required
  • Communicating with Sales Team and Operations Team
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S procedures and practices
  • Assisting with coaching, teaching and training staff
  • Other projects and responsibilities that may arise
  • Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
