Job Description Summary Location: Ivrea, Italy #onsite Role Purpose: Warehouse & Logistics Senior Expert defines and manages processes, stock strategies and provides leadership and expertise on materials management. Has operational end to end responsibility for assigned activity. Manages all project and local network activities and participates in cross-functional teams. Job Description Main activities Acts as Subject Matter Expert for Warehouse & Logistics, ensuring that agreed milestones, inventory targets and timelines are met, represents RLT Pilot Plant Warehouse & Logistics in relevant RLT and TRD Networks. Manages key vendors for Warehouse & Logistics, incl. external warehouse. Owns and Executes Business continuity management for warehouse & logistic relevant activities & materials Manages material replenishment and orders of raw materials in the system (SAP) to internal and external suppliers ensuring the correct stock levels for production. Manages and organizes inbound logistics from warehouse to production plant ensuring timely supply. Provides collaboration and drives culture of quality and performance within the team including usage of appropriate KPIs. Contributes to investigations in cases of deviations / technical complaints and non-Right First Time (RFT) cases and supports the Supply Chain Team in defining improvement actions to increase performance and mitigation strategies. Is responsible for communicating challenges to internal and external stakeholders. Adapts priorities in response to changing needs. Knows when to act independently or when to escalate issues. Collaborates to create SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and training materials, and train staff in new processes and systems. Ideal Background Education (minimum/desirable): Degree in economics, engineering, logistics or equivalent Languages: Fluent English, proficient in local language Experience/Professional requirement: > 5 years of practical experience in chemical / pharmaceutical industry or > 3 years of experience in field of expertise Good knowledge of ERP System in particular SAP/S4HANA Good expertise in related fields. knowledge about the Drug Development and Clinical Supply processes would be a plus Basic project management, good organization and planning skills Knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g. GMP, HSE etc.) Demonstrates problem-solving and idea generation skills.
