Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor

Requirements

  • Fluently Bilingual.
  • Valid Drivers & Forklift License.
  • Physically fit / Able bodied.
  • Experience and competence in all warehouse roles.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Small-Medium size team experience.
  • Communicate clearly both orally and written and in a polite professional manner.
  • Bondable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the movement, distribution and storage of goods.
  • Directly supervise, schedule, task and motivate the warehouse staff.
  • Track staff house and submit weekly time sheets for payroll.
  • Effectively negotiate rates and service levels with transport/courier companies.
  • Maintain adequate supply of consumables and negotiate best cost replenishing as required.
  • Maintain warehouse as clean, efficient and organized.
  • Organize usage of space to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure safe working practices within the warehouse.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained in safe working condition.
  • Ensure outgoing shipments are correctly picked from inventory, packaged and prepared for shipment.
  • Ensure that commercial invoices and other shipping documents are accurate.
  • Ensure that received goods are as per purchase orders, as per packing slip, and undamaged upon reception.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving records such that we are always able to analytically verify inventory count.
  • Verify and approve payment for invoices from carriers.
  • Ensure sales team is provided with accurate PP&C shipping costs.
  • Intervene as required to solve issues / problems relating to incoming and outgoing freight with carriers, brokers, suppliers and customers.
  • Proactively notify customers of shipping / delivery exceptions or issues and work with them for best resolution.
  • Effectively learn the parts manager role to be able to step in as backup for that role.
