Business Unit: Cubic Defense Company Details: This position reports directly to the Chief Engineer/Systems Engineer of Cubic Singapore. This position is responsible to work collaboratively with Cubic’s Singapore based and international engineering teams to define maintenance solution(s). This includes: developing technical detail to define (price, schedule, technical maturity) of) proposed maintenance solutions and supporting engineering efforts involving the design, modification, testing, and evaluation of complex systems with integrated hardware, mechanical, optical, and software components. This position is also responsible to lead and supervise on-site installation, integration and acceptance activities at customer locations. These locations include remote field locations in Singapore and other countries. Once systems have been delivered, this position also leads through life sustainment and Integrated Logistics Support. Potentially it is required to be involved in external technical engagements with Cubic’s global customers to define their training needs and system requirements. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise general decision-making authority. Job Details: Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and analyse existing engineering designs, specifications and test plans for systems and equipment based on customer/contract requirements. Establish a robust maintenance process flow for 1) repair/replacement of existing equipment and 2) manufacturing of those replacement or for new projects. Monitor or improve the current maintenance data and thereafter ensure the data are substantiated. Perform maintenance requirement analysis and reviews system and subsystem design and interface specifications. Assist in developing project concepts, objectives, specifications and resource needs. Part of the Engineering team that develop system architectures that relate requirements and interfaces so that effectiveness of system design concept is clearly communicated to customer. Involved in project coordination and review meetings on maintenance shortfall or projection. Make presentations to internal management and external customers. Responsible for conducting internal design reviews and technical meetings. Participate in internal and external design reviews and status meetings. Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure coordination and integration of maintenance elements and interface requirements, both internally and with teammates/subcontractors. Conduct internal and external installation, integration, commissioning, and acceptance test events. Conduct through life sustainment and obsolescence engineering as part of Cubic Singapore Engineering team. Develop training course materials and deliver technical (user and maintenance) training. Keep informed of new developments in systems engineering techniques and advances in technology. May participate in team efforts to solve engineering problems or develop improved engineering processes. Assist others in the team to improve their systems engineering knowledge.
