Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Warehouse Manager to join our team responsible for the delivery of the High Capacity Signalling (HCS) project in Perth. The warehouse and facility will be located in Nowergup, which is still under construction and expected to be ready to occupy from December 2025. This role will ideally commence in September 2025 to help manage the set-up of the warehouse and during this time, you will primarily be based in the HCS project office, in Perth CBD.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing and leading the setup of the new warehouse.
  • Defining the warehouse layout, optimize the storage space improvement and promote actions for the Supply Chain improvement.
  • Leading and managing a small team of Logistics Operators.
  • Monitoring and challenging the performance of all activity through Key Performance Indicators.
  • Collaborating with Material Planners in order to guarantee the correct level of stock availability and to avoid material shortages.
  • Contributing to the Continuous Improvement activities & APSYS roadmap in all areas of the supply chain.
  • Championing Alstom Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and policies.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory counts and ensuring stocks are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Managing the physical material flows to always keep physical and system flows aligned.

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to lead and manage a small team.
  • Demonstrated experience in Warehouse Management, including the establishment of a new warehouse (layout, racking, signage, safety etc.)
  • A current Forklift Licence, with experience.
  • Experience using SAP and Microsoft Excel (preferred)
