OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record of optimising processes and enhancing efficiency. This role involves managing day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring the effective use of resources, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role within logistics or supply chain environments.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and AS400 software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes, as well as inventory management best practices.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyse data related to warehouse performance and make informed decisions based on findings.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead warehouse staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all processes.
  • Implement and manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to streamline operations and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Utilise Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for efficient logistics planning and execution.
  • Conduct regular assessments of warehouse processes to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise supply chain performance.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Monitor profit & loss statements related to warehouse operations, making data-driven decisions to enhance profitability.
  • Train staff on the use of equipment such as forklifts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align warehouse activities with overall business objectives.
