Description

About the job

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations for a food industry business based between Ajman and Sharjah. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 8 years of warehouse management experience specifically within the food sector, strong hands-on proficiency in SAP, and current UAE market experience. This role requires a hands-on operator who can manage inventory accuracy, warehouse staff, food safety compliance, and logistics coordination in a fast-paced, perishable-goods environment.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of food products.
  • Manage and optimize warehouse layout and storage conditions to ensure compliance with food safety and cold chain requirements (where applicable).
  • Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff (pickers, forklift operators, storekeepers, loaders) to ensure efficient daily operations across a 6-day operating week.
  • Maintain accurate real-time inventory records using SAP, including stock counts, cycle counts, and periodic full inventory audits.
  • Monitor stock levels to minimize spoilage, wastage, and expiry losses — particularly critical given the perishable nature of food inventory.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO (First-In-First-Out / First-Expired-First-Out) principles are strictly followed for all food stock movement.
  • Coordinate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure timely inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE food safety, hygiene, and municipality regulations (HACCP awareness preferred).
  • Manage warehouse KPIs: order accuracy, dispatch timelines, inventory accuracy, and cost control.
  • Conduct regular audits of warehouse equipment, racking, and storage areas to maintain safety and operational standards.
  • Liaise with transportation/fleet teams to ensure timely deliveries and returns processing.
  • Prepare and present regular warehouse performance and inventory reports to management using SAP reporting tools.
  • Manage warehouse budget, including labor costs, equipment maintenance, and consumables.
  • Handle documentation for goods receipt notes (GRN), delivery notes, stock transfers, and damage/return processing within SAP.
