Warehouse Manager Department: Savannah 201722 Employment Type: Full Time Location: Fort Wayne Reporting To: Steve Okeefe Compensation: $55,000 / year Description The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of all zone operations by supervising staff and managing inventory and supplies through receiving, storing, and delivering items. This role involves maintaining a secure and efficient warehouse environment and acting as a working manager to support the team in their daily tasks. Shift: Monday - Friday 7 AM to 4:30 PM Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervision and Leadership: Lead and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity and accuracy goals. Train new employees on safety protocols, equipment operation, and warehouse procedures. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Operational Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping. Implement and monitor production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards. Identify and resolve operational issues and suggest improvements. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records through regular counts and reconciliations. Implement inventory management best practices to minimize discrepancies. Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Conduct safety training and emergency drills. Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement efficient processes. Collaborate with operations management to develop and refine warehouse policies and procedures. Communication and Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations. Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management. Hands-On Support: Act as a working manager, assisting the team in executing daily tasks and meeting objectives. Collaborate closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to achieve warehouse goals. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Valid Driver's License required. Forklift certification is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects up to 30 pounds and operate warehouse equipment. Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
