Description As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for warehouse performance and efficiency, and will report directly to the Operations Manager. This position will encompass working directly with Operations Management through direct contact, telephone and other electronic communications. The Warehouse Manager will audit and secure the warehouse inventory through weekly cycle counts to ensure that DOW maintains inventory accuracy and organization. Working well and cooperatively with others in fulfilling your responsibilities with your staff, Company customers, and other fellow employees is essential to your success, as each location operates as a collaborative team across all Sales, Operations, and Company departments. Job Duties: Manage Warehouse Associates and Leads, regularly monitoring workplace performance, Company procedure, policy and safety protocols. Set daily warehouse and team goals in collaboration with Operations Management. Lead training initiatives to improve employees. Interview Warehouse Associate and Warehouse Lead candidates while working with Human Resources and Recruiting in hiring process; coordinate the training of new Employees. Take employee disciplinary action when warranted, coordinating with Human Resources and Ops Management, including engaging employees in verbal coaching / warnings, written improvement plans / warnings, and the termination process as needed. Enforce Warehouse and Company policies and procedures. Organize activities, job assignments, and overall operations of the Warehouse. Oversee warehouse maintenance, including equipment and facilities maintenance, repairs and housekeeping; coordinate with the Facilities Manager as needed. Oversee all shipping procedures, and communicate directly with shipping vendors as needed, to ensure proper scheduling, shipment, and deliveries of customer orders and Company transfers. Oversee all receiving procedures, and communicate directly with Purchasing Department personnel as needed to ensure accurate inventory maintenance. Responsible for inventory maintenance and control. Monitor warehouse layout, organization and space management; evaluate for and implement improvements. Oversee warehouse safety and security. Requirements Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Familiarity and understanding of warehouse safety protocols. Highly focused and proactive to handle simultaneous deadlines. Strong analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to be detailed, accurate, and thorough while working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow instructions and directions thoroughly. Must abide by all Company and Department policies and procedures. Must be willing to work beyond normal business hours as needed. Working knowledge of warehouse operations. Proficiently and professionally handle customer issues. Valid Driver’s License. Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of professionalism. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years’ warehouse experience Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of leading or managing other employees. Spanish speaking a plus, but not necessary. Prior experience operating a forklift is desired; must be able to pass forklift certification and operate forklift in warehouse locations utilizing a forklift.
