Description:

I am seeking a warehouse manager for my client in Annacotty, Limerick.
Working Times Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm
Salary €50k depending on experience.
The prime function of this position is to work with the existing team to ensure that the targets are met on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a person who has previous senior management experience in a busy warehouse and experience in driving fork trucks. You will be tasked to oversee goods shipment and delivery in the organization and oversee the smooth running of the yard and /or warehouse. You will support by managing the inventory of warehouse stocks based on the foreseeable requirements and being responsible for the intake and dispatch of products and their internal movements, while also providing up to date information both internally and externally, ensuring all requirements are met. You must deliver and adhere to an organisation’s business values. As a Warehouse Manager, you will also oversee and maintain a good relationship with the staff, whilst promoting a culture where health and safety / hygiene and customer service is a priority.

ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH COMPANY POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS.

Prepare regular reports on key performance metrics, such as productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Analyse data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
Responsible for the storage of returned goods.
Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment to meet customer expectations.
Collaborate with the customer service team to address any issues or concerns related to warehouse operations.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, etc.
Schedule routine maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
Coordinate with external vendors for repairs or replacements when necessary.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance warehouse operations.
Continuously monitor industry trends and advancements to stay updated on best practices.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Candidates must have at least 2 years senior warehouse management experience.
Up to date Forklift License is advantageous.
Strong Safety and Quality Awareness
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Sound knowledge of GDPR principles.
Ideally experienced in the use of MS Teams package.
Flexibility regarding work hours and willingness to travel for work purposes.
Energy and enthusiasm with an ability to work on own initiativ

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to site safety rules.
Attend operational meetings so that you can actively problem solve and manage all queries in the warehouse & transport operation.
Ensure that all instructions from customers are carried out accurately and efficiently.
To lead all warehouse operatives & team leaders/ chargehands are on site and ensure that all daily deadlines are adhered to.
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations, including layout design, process improvement initiatives, and resource allocation.
Assist with the effective management of warehousing, stocks, staff, training etc.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, transactions, and other relevant documentation.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

OVERSEE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ON SHIFT.

Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure that checks are carried out on condition of goods for dispatch, trailer and preparation of delivery dockets
Responsible for staff scheduled on their shift.
To oversee the clean-up of the warehouse and ensure the warehouse is left in good condition.
Develop and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all warehouse employees.
Develop a people training plan ensuring that each team member has a training plan to deliver overall department success.
Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Excellent team player with good attention to detail.
Coming up with methods of optimising space in the warehouse.
Good time management skills.
Mentoring and coaching of staff in best warehouse practices and performance.
Reporting issues and concerns to senior management & STL’s customers.
Play a key role in the delivery of HR/ ER compliance and procedures in line with internal policies.
Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, bottlenecks, or areas of improvement.
