Description
As the Warehouse Manager, responsibilities will include supervision and direction of receiving and material handler employees, maintenance of inventory accuracy, and resolution of issues with receipt, storage and interplant logistics. This will include the development of processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain inventory accuracy, and reduce overall costs. You will drive materials management best practices to achieve the sales schedule, meet customer requirements, optimize the utilization of the workforce, and minimize logistic costs. You will also be responsible for finished goods inventory control by managing cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and internal materials replenishment strategies to meet inventory DOH and excess & obsolete management targets. You will also take an active role in support of other activities such as continuous improvement projects focusing on productivity and inventory reduction. Lead and participate on daily tier meetings with a cross-functional team focused on departmental performance and issue resolution. Lead weekly departmental meetings to communicate safety topics, department or plant-wide activities, business updates. Establish clear expectations and goals to employees and maintain accountability for results including required training. Implement and maintaining an atmosphere of 5S and continuous improvement to accomplish department and plant goals. Support the execution of optimized materials storage and handling processes and procedures. Direct management of the material handlers, logistics coordinators, and related SCM activities. Maintain accurate records including overtime, attendance, and corrective action registers. Maintain and update material handling processes, standard work, and work instructions. Lead and drive key warehouse related projects like kitting, consolidation, package improvements. Define projects to improve the overall Inventory recording, reporting & accuracy improvement of the warehouse, ensuring better inventory management across the plant. Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals. Monitor and provide employee coaching with respect to safety, quality, and productivity performance (attendance, training, coaching, overtime, vacation requests etc.) Train and educate the materials management team on the use of supply chain management techniques, various business systems, varieties of reports and other related tools. High School Diploma or GED AND 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, or a combination of those functions. Minimum of 5 years warehousing, inventory management or logistics experience Minimum 2+ year experience managing people and/or project teams. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
