Responsibilities

WAREHOUSE MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERALL FUNCTIONING OF THE WAREHOUSE.

  1. Ensure that the supervisors do the daily monitoring of the following activities -
  • Absentia of the staff.
  • Store requisitions received and completed on time.
  • Deliveries to stores.
  • Replenishment picking to the stores.
  • Quantity of items repaired, not repaired (HDAM).
  • Ensuring proper dispatch and receiving documents.
  • Clearance of containers on time.
  • Timely removal of items from the receiving bay.
  • Proper HSE & housekeeping in the warehouse.
  • Ensuring timely shortages / excess reports to the concerned.
  • Export goods to other territory.
  • Inventory management.
  1. Ensuring that the warehouse is functioning as per the SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
  2. Ensuring that the personal problems of the staff are addressed if possible or intimated to the HR MANAGER as and when required.
  3. Ensuring that all the issues involving the staff i.e. their vacation, absenteeism or discipline are addressed on priority.
  4. Ensuring that timely reordering of the non-trading items is done in advance by checking the reports of the supervisor.
  5. To forecast the need of the department and assign / shift staff from other departments in consultation with the supervisors to optimize the work and reduce the overtime / waste of manpower.
  6. To liaise with the Buyers / Retail and forecast the priorities and preplan the activity and the workflow.
  7. To ensure that strict housekeeping standards are maintained in the warehouse.
  8. To ensure that there is optimization of the man hours and thereby reduce the additional man hours and have a control on the overtime.
  9. To have the creative insights into addressing the day-to-day problems if arises and provide solution for usage of resources like the space, manpower, equipment’s and the processes which increase productivity.
  10. To have a thorough knowledge of the MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENTS, racking systems, capacity of the warehouses.
  11. To forecast the needs of the manpower and the MHE’S in the warehouses.
  12. To have the fleet management skills and provide the ideal distribution Plano gram to suit the best interest of the business.
  13. To identify the core competence of the right staff and place them in the right job and train them with the help of the supervisors to take on additional responsibilities.
  14. To be the voice of the staff to the Management and thus ensure that staff welfare is placed on the utmost priority.
  15. To provide reports to the management on the various activities and the various processes as required.
  16. To ensure that value additions are always thought about and implemented at various levels to benefit the business.
  17. Ensuring that the logistics ops is functioning as per the SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
  18. Ensuring that all the issues involving the drivers and carpenters i.e. their vacation, absenteeism or discipline are addressed on priority.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
