So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed? - Supervises store workers and other associates in the performance of stocking the main retail store and mall in accordance with established instructions policies and procedures during hours of closure. - Works with Distribution Center to ensure required merchandise is brought to the main store at established times to prepare for stocking. - Manages retail stocking program for a large retail store mall. - Ensures adherence to policies and procedures for security of merchandise property and equipment. The Qualifiers: · Three years of experience in administrative, professional, investigative or other responsible work that enabled the applicant to gain general knowledge of one or more aspects of physical distribution support. Such experience may have been gained in warehousing, purchasing, accounting, inventory control, merchandising, industrial planning, engineering, traffic or data processing. · One year of progressively responsible experience which provided a knowledge of distribution and warehouse management systems, and techniques; materiel handling practices and procedures; or experience in one or more areas of storage and distribution activities such as physical receipt, inspection, storage, stock rotation, stock levels and distribution flow to location sites; and exempt or nonexempt supervisory experience; or similar work which demonstrated the knowledge and abilities required to supervise in a distribution environment. · Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check. · PHYSICAL EFFORT: Stands stoops bends walks and handles merchandise up to 50 pounds with assistance. · WORKING CONDITIONS: Generally works indoors exposed to drafts noise and dust. Will stand for long periods of time. Work is mainly done at night. · TRAINING REQUIREMENT: Associate must receive Hazardous Material HazMat training within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations. Responsibilities
The Warehouse Manager supervises store workers and ensures merchandise is stocked according to established policies. They manage the retail stocking program and work with the Distribution Center to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
