WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Location: Hope Thrift Store – Morden, MB
Hope Thrift Store is seeking a Warehouse Manager who is a natural leader, team-builder, and dedicated worker. This role is ideal for someone who can deliver a customer-first experience, go the extra mile for both volunteers and shoppers, and collaborate with fellow managers to achieve our organizational goals. While experience is an asset, we are committed to training the right person for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in warehouse, retail, or thrift store operations preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of staff and volunteers.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming shopping environment.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license; able to safely operate a ½-ton truck and tow/back up a trailer.
  • Physically able to lift and move items weighing 20+ lbs and stand/walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency; experience with Shopify and Canva is an asset.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Hope Thrift Store.
  • Availability to work Saturdays (Sunday and Monday off).
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $15.80-$20.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Sort, clean, and price donations daily; empty the donation shed each day (share weekend duties on a rotation).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store and warehouse environment.
  • Safely operate a ½-ton truck, including towing and backing up a trailer, for donation pick-ups and customer deliveries (Class 5 license required).
  • Perform pick-ups and deliveries with a customer-focused attitude and willingness to serve.
  • Collaborate daily with the Operations Manager and volunteers to ensure efficient store operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting shoppers to create a positive in-store experience.
  • Process sales transactions using the Shopify register or cash register; reconcile tills as needed.
  • Open and close the store, covering management duties when supervisors are absent.
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Lift and move items weighing 20+ lbs regularly and stand/walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
  • Use organizational and computer skills effectively; familiarity with Shopify and Canva is considered an asset.
  • Align with and actively support the store’s mission and values.
  • Work Saturdays (Sunday and Monday off).
  • Maintain a maximum 40-hour work week; hourly wage based on experience and attitude.
