JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations related to the receiving, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and goods. This includes managing the flow of raw materials and finished products, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring efficient and timely handling of all warehouse activities. The role also includes responsibility for internal material movement within the facility and may include oversight of traffic and export functions. This position plays a key role in supporting production and customer delivery requirements through effective warehouse operations.
This position is 100% onsite

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires 8+ years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or related operations.
  • Experience managing operations across multiple warehouse or facility locations.
  • Experience with Plex ERP is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking during an 8 hours shift.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk and talk or hear.

Responsibilities

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage 4-5 Shipping and Receiving Supervisors at different locations all located in Kentwood. This position oversees 22-26 indirect reports.
  • Provide coaching, direction, and support to ensure team compliance with MIOHSA regulations and company standards.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Lead and coordinate all warehousing functions including receiving, storage, and shipping.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through proper documentation and physical audits.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, and performance of the warehouse team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations, systems, and processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate material flow.
  • May manage traffic, logistics, and export operations depending on facility structure.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.
