QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 5-7 years progressive leadership in warehouse, distribution, transportation, or manufacturing experience
  • Must have effective communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in computer usage, e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Warehouse Management System experience a plus
  • Knowledge of logistics is a plus
  • Bi-lingual a plus (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities
  • Lead, build, develop and mentor a team of Supervisors and employees in warehouse operations.
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment through training, positive reinforcement, and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with managers and other stakeholders in the development and implementation of strategies, goals and objectives which address employee satisfaction, morale, and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Coordinate shipping activities collaborating inventory control, receiving, and sanitation
  • Assist in formulating the labor budget for all department activities, provides input for the capital budget process
  • Assist in managing expenses with special emphasis on damage control, labor, and supplies usage, in order to meet or exceed weekly budgets
  • Provide input in establishing or redefining warehouse procedures, layouts and equipment requirements and standards and the tools necessary to support them
  • Work directly with the transportation team to ensure any load issues are handled timely and with minimal disruption to our customers.
  • Responsible for planning and oversight of small, medium, and large-scale warehouse projects
  • Stay current and informed of industry and professional trends for continuous supply chain management offering recommendations on opportunities to implement where appropriate
  • Direct and assist in the identification of new methods and/or policies to improve operations
  • Work in conjunction with IT in the development of systems to improve and measure performance and efficiencies
  • Provide direction in staffing with human resources to maximize efficiency and productivity through selection and training
