Roles & Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily warehouse activities.
  • Ensure timely receiving, inspection, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and secure warehouse environment.
  • Optimize warehouse space utilization and storage systems.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and implement process improvements.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor slow-moving, expired, and damaged stock.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO where applicable).

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Ensure adequate staffing to meet operational requirements.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Coordinate with transport providers for timely deliveries.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and warehouse procedures.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports.
  • Track warehouse KPIs, including:
    • Inventory accuracy
    • Order fulfillment rate
    • On-time dispatch
    • Warehouse productivity
    • Stock variance
  • Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
